**Winemaker Notes:**
The old Grenache Noir vines are planted across 20 hectares of pebbly soil, on limestone-rich terraces and south-east facing hillsides. The climate is moderated by the famous Tramontane breeze, allowing the fruit to ripen slowly and thoroughly.

Tautavel is a small town to the north of Perpignan, sandwiched between the Mediterranean sea and the Pyrenees. Noted for wines of higher quality than much of the surrounding Côtes du Rousillon, it has been chosen by Gérard Bertrand as the source of this prestige cuvée.

Beautifully deep and inky, with a complex nose of ripe raspberry and loganberry, and hints of vanilla and wild herbs. Rich and opulent in texture, with a lingering, liquorice-like finish.

In 1925, grandfather Amadio was a pioneer of the Fasoli wine company. It was he who planted the vines and made good quality wine from them himself. At the time, he sold this to the best eateries in cities like Verona, Vicenza and Padova. He transported this in small wooden barrels by horse and carriage. Son Gino and brother Gigi build on their father's knowledge and experience and continue the good reputation. In 1980 the Fasoli family started with organic viticulture and since 1984 all vineyards are organic, which were officially certified organic in 1990.

The Fasoli Gino Valpolicella Ripasso from the organic winemaker Fasoli Gino comes from the vineyards in Marano, one of the most suitable areas of the Valpolicella, known for its clayey calcareous soil.

This organic Ripasso Superiore is made from the grape varieties Corvina (40%), Corvinone (40%) and Rondinella (20%). The grapes were picked manually around the end of September/beginning of October, after which they were dried in wicker baskets for a month. This process is called appassimento. The grapes are then pressed and fermentation takes place for 15-20 days at a controlled temperature. The term ripasso comes from 'repassed'. The Valpolicella wine is put in one barrel, together with the leftover yeast residues from the production process of the Amarone wine, and this starts a second fermentation process and the alcohol percentage of the wine is increased and then the wine matures for a year in oak barrels.

The grapes for the Fasoli Gino La Corte del Pozzo are grown in a vineyard near Marano, in one of the most suitable areas of the Valpolicella, known for its clayey calcareous soil and this is reflected in this Ripasso. The wine has a fruity taste, dry, but very soft, with well-defined acidity and well-balanced tannins. A very pleasant ripasso, accessible in its youth, which, as is the case with all Fasoli Gino's, is organically certified.

The Bordeaux vineyard that produces these wine is grown in “San Carlo” at the foot of Montello, producing Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The vineyard has an extremely low yield per stalk and per hectare. Together with the particular exposure to the sun of the land and the harvest that takes place at the time of greatest ripeness, this enables us to obtain grapes with a polyphenolic patrimony worthy of a great wine for aging. Malolactic fermentation and refinement take place in French durmast oak barriques (at least 50% from the first passage) for a total 12-14 months. This is followed by assembly in barrels for six months prior to bottling and refinement in the bottle for another six months. Case Paolin SAN CARLO is a splendid wine for meditation, with an intense garnet red color, with the characteristic perfumes of red fruits, violets and musk.

Charles and Molly Meeker bought their first vineyard at the end of West Dry Creek Road in Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley in 1977. In 1984, Charlie and Molly established their winery — The Meeker Vineyard — with Charlie as the winemaker. In its early years, the winery specialized in Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay.

The Lasseter Family Winery estate in Sonoma Valley is rich in historical significance, encompassing organically farmed vineyards and an eco-friendly winery. Justi Creek Vineyards, part of the stunning 95-acre ranch on the outskirts of Glen Ellen, is comprised of three adjacent parcels of land; formerly parts of Rancho Vallejo and Rancho Los Guilicos. Nancy and John Lasseter embarked on an environmentally sensitive journey of upgrading of their property, lovingly restoring the natural habitat and converting the vineyards exclusively to organic farming practices. The pond was completely revitalized and beehives and insectaries were established in order to provide homes for beneficial insects. The certified organic vineyards are flourishing under the watchful eye of vineyard manager Phil Coturri. Today the land is alive and once again expresses this historical region’s unique terroir. The Upper Bench Blocks are seventeen acres of benchland situated above the valley floor, on undulating terrain known locally as the "Glen Ellen Moguls." The fast-draining, cobbly soils of these blocks are ideal for red Bordeaux varieties.

"Enthusiasts of Napa Valley Cabernet Franc often gravitate that direction because they love the power and richness that Cabernet Sauvignon offers, but also the stony elements and floral aromatics that Franc brings to the equation. Since 2014, this bottling has been based on the beautiful Cabernet Franc that Jim Frediani and his sisters grow in the gravelly alluvium of Simmons Creek just south of Calistoga. These berries are tiny and soak up the sun most of the growing season. The result is intensely rich, but also structured Cabernet Franc. Our 2018 is dark, powerful and layered. The color is deepest red with a dark core. Aromatics of dark plum, black cherry, briary blackberries, coffee, Madagascar chocolate, a hint of bay and floral notes fill the glass. The palate is dense and saturating with layers of deep fruit, framed by bountiful, but never harsh tannins. The finish promises a beautifully long life! " –Relic Wines

"2017 was another drought year, but on par, if not better, than 2013, yielding another crop of smaller-berried fruit that produced a intense wine, and should stand out for decades to come. Compared to last year, 2017 produced medium sized berries, which means a fantastic ratio of skins to juice, leading to higher levels of color and tannin. They had a few heat spikes in late July, and the weather was generally dry, warm even and consistent throughout the season. They picked the Cabernet under ideal conditions in September, and put to barrel a few weeks later, well in advance of the fires." — Pellet Wines

PerUs 'Alessio' Red 2015 is the third vintage for this winery with Russell Bevan as the winemaker since its inception. Russell is most known for making his own richly focused wines at Bevan Cellars but is also known for his efforts at Harbison and now PerUs. 

Like in past vintages of their Napa Valley Red, Russell sourced fruit from the famed Tench Vineyard in Oakville for its highly sought-after Cabernet Sauvignon and Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard, the perfect site for Cabernet Franc. In the glass, this dark, delicious Red reveals black fruit with cocoa dusting and a gratifying finish. 225 cases produced.
