Perhaps our most age-worthy wine, this elegantly-structured blend of Syrah with Petite Sirah is big and full-bodied, with vibrant, savory cherry and plum, violets, coffee, and a seared-steak meatiness, deftly balanced by gripping tannins and acidity. You can taste the vineyard. Leave it corked on the counter for a few days, and you’ll find emerging additional notes of Asian 5-spice, black olive and more, indicating this baby will age very well.

Keenan’s 2016 Zinfandel is made up of grapes grown primarily on Keenan’s Spring Mountain District estate. The Estate Zinfandel imparts structure, ripe black fruit and complex earthy nuances. Zinfandel grown in Calistoga makes up the remainder of the blend and supplies spice and briary red fruit aromas.

Once harvested, the grapes were de-stemmed then fermented in small lots. Primary fermentation lasted seven to ten days. The wine was aged in French and American oak barrels for eighteen months.

The finished wine shows intense black cherry and raspberry fruit in the nose, while hints of black pepper and vanilla add complexity. This is a rich, full-bodied Zinfandel that will accompany a wide array of foods, but we suggest gamey meats, grilled as a great match for the Keenan Zin.

"Enthusiasts of Napa Valley Cabernet Franc often gravitate that direction because they love the power and richness that Cabernet Sauvignon offers, but also the stony elements and floral aromatics that Franc brings to the equation. Since 2014, this bottling has been based on the beautiful Cabernet Franc that Jim Frediani and his sisters grow in the gravelly alluvium of Simmons Creek just south of Calistoga. These berries are tiny and soak up the sun most of the growing season. The result is intensely rich, but also structured Cabernet Franc. Our 2018 is dark, powerful and layered. The color is deepest red with a dark core. Aromatics of dark plum, black cherry, briary blackberries, coffee, Madagascar chocolate, a hint of bay and floral notes fill the glass. The palate is dense and saturating with layers of deep fruit, framed by bountiful, but never harsh tannins. The finish promises a beautifully long life! " –Relic Wines

Winemaker Notes:

The rocky, volcanic hillside soil on Atlas Peak is perfectly suited for Cabernet Sauvignon.  The vineyards are close-row planted, which means no tractors--all hand tended.  

A deep ruby color, the wine shows blackberry and cassis on the nose.  The mouthfeel is polished, with bright acidity and fine grained satiny tannins.  

Flavors are red and dark fruit, earthy, with hints of forest floor and black tea.  Enjoy mocha on the lingering finish.

Chalk Hill is blessed with an abundance of volcanic soils that drain quickly and produce small, more intensely flavored and colored berries without aggressive canopies. Afternoon temperatures are moderated by the cooling Pacific breezes out of the Russian River Valley. The blocks for these grapes range from rich clay top soil to 30º slopes with vines struggling to maintain their hold.


2020 Notre Vue Chalk Hill Rose 750ML

The Grenache for Anaba’s rosé was grown in the Landa Vineyard, in the foothills of the Mayacamas. Brix at harvest 23.3°, and the fruit was whole-cluster pressed, then fermented and aged in stainless steel. The result is a pale, orange-y salmon color offering a fragrance of macerated strawberries — almost strawberry jam — and apple blossoms. The body has a satiny, coating texture, plus more of that peach-strawberry flavor, but this time steeped in black tea. The finish offers some balancing grit and gravity.

French for "Ready to Drink", the expression Prêt à Boire might apply either to the wine itself or to your state of mind when returning home after a long day...You are ready to relax, clear your head, and enjoy an excellent glass of rosé!

Made in the southern French style, the 2021 Prêt à Boire Rosé is a Grenache and Syrah blend. Pale salmon pink in color, it offers beautiful aromas of potpourri, raspberry tart and fresh cherries, with hints of baking spices and cracked black pepper. It remains the only rosé produced in the US that garners 90+ point ratings from all the top wine critics.

THE ARTIST

Some of you may not be aware that the world lost George Rodrigue on December 14, 2013. He was 69 years old. George, and his wife Wendy, have been dear friends of ours since 2005 when we initially commissioned George to paint a "blue dog" for our 2006 Amuse Bouche release. A native of Louisiana, George launched his painting career in the 1960s. He was not only a magnificent artist; George was a true community leader, philanthropist and advocate of arts education, inspiring a new generation of artists through the George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts. Our hearts are heavy with George's absence. We are fortunate to be able to surround ourselves with so many vivid, vibrant reminders of his beautiful, whimsical outlook on life.

As an aromatic, floral-and-lychee-tinged variety, it is an awesome match with spicy, chili-driven dishes.Think Thai or Indonesian food and you’ve got it.

2021 Domaine Rimauresq Cotes de Provence Cru Classe Vermentino 750ML

Domaine des Coltabards is in a famous part of the Ménétréol area of the Loire Valley. The famed soils are Kimmeridgian and silex. After the grapes have been crushed a cold static settling takes place while the fermentation starts at low temperatures in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wines are then aged on their fine lees until bottling to preserve the freshness.

2018 Domaine des Coltabards Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 750ML

**Winemaker Notes:**  

 80% Chenin Blanc, 15% Chardonnay, 5% Groslot Gris. Aged in tank (80%) and barrel (20%) for 8 months before release.

 **Tasting Notes:**  

 Both the Chardonnay and the Grolleau Gris play a subtle but noticeable role in this beautiful wine that goes so well with food. Bottled in the spring following vintage after elevage in stainless steel it’s light and bright with a strong backbone from the Chenin.

2018 Domaine Eve et Michel Rey En Buland Pouilly-Fuisse Chardonnay 750ML

This Montagny 1er Cru from the Domaine des Moirots, originates from one of the prestige vineyards of Montagny amid the ruins of a medieval tower of Buxy castle. A brilliant golden yellow in colour, this has a very attractive bouquet of tropical fruit flavours. It is an excellent balance between ripeness and freshness with a flinty minerality. Well structured with a creamy mouthfeel and exotic fruits which linger on the finish.

Food matches: Pair this wine with a Seafood risotto, roast chicken with roasted red peppers or grilled lemon sole.

2020 Domaine des Moirots Le Vieux Chateau Montagny 1er Cru Chardonnay 750ML

Yannick Alléno & Michel Chapoutier. Two passionate “créateurs”. Two strong characters. One same language: the quest for refinement. Yannick Alléno, a Michelin-starred chef and true perfectionist. Michel Chapoutier, a pioneering and deeply committed winemaker with very strong values. One shared passion: the Rhône Valley.

The main varietal in this wine is Marsanne and all the grapes were picked by hand. 

2019 Chapoutier & Yannick Alleno Couronne de Chabot Saint-Joseph Rhône White Rhone Blend 750ML

Pauline Calvet's Picque Caillou estate is situated between Haut Brion and Merignac airport. It has been on a fine run of form and makes a habit of outclassing far more illustrious names from the Pessac commune. Produced from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot and aged in 40% new oak barrels. I know we've been raving about Pauline's wines for some time, but the 2016 could be the best yet, certainly the most elegant and refined. The bouquet is brimming with bright Morello cherry notes and a gorgeous stony minerality. There is ample concentration; sumptuous redcurrant and cassis flavours glide over the palate and finish in a starry crescendo of bright cranberries and crushed rocks. This is a really impressive Picque Caillou.

 **Winemaker Notes:**  

 Pressing: Whole bunches in a pneumatic press, then 12 hours settling at 12 to 15°C (53° to 59°F) in specially designed wide tanks that accelerate the natural settling process  

 Fermentation: 3 weeks (85% stainless steel, 15% French oak)  

 Malolactic: 100%  

 Aging: 9 months (85% stainless steel, 15% French oak)


 **Tasting Notes:**  

 Clear and bright limpid yellow color with complex aromas of citrus and summer blossoms. The palate offers a velvety character that comes from the sunny character of the vineyard. A powerful yet elegant wine.

2012 Domaine Laroche Chablis Vaillons

**Accolades:  

 94 pts.**- Wine Spectator: “Plump, ripe and full, featuring a slightly exotic edge to the guava, mango and creamed peach flavors, before a racier side of green plum, honeysuckle and plantain moves in behind. Still youthfully raw, with the fruit bouncing rather than gliding for now. The finish is long, revealing an echo of green almond that bodes well for cellaring. Best from 2015 through 2026.”

 **Winemaker Notes:**  

 The grapes are harvested in successive passes or ‘tries’ through the vineyard, and any unsatisfactory fruit is eliminated. The grapes are pressed quickly and the must fermented under temperature control. Aging is done strictly without oak to preserve the elements of fruit and terroir. The single-vineyard ‘Clos de Sainte Catherine,’ produced almost every year, is highlighted by a compelling minerality and extraordinarily long life in great vintages.
