Collector Alert! Collectible Cab Franc Back in Stock
Our last Cabernet Franc offer sold out incredibly fast and we’ve been getting tons of requests for another.
I know, I know, it’s been a while — but I’m excited to announce Cab Franc is back!
Truth be told, we got a little carried away by your enthusiasm, and it spurred us to seek out some really cool and unique bottles. Shock-factor-level wines, if you will.
So for just $32, you might get a MAGNUM of limited-edition Antinori Antica ‘Premiere Napa Valley A27 The Next Generation’ Atlas Peak Cabernet Franc, worth $700!
This is a wine we won at the Premiere Napa Valley Auction and a wine you can’t get anywhere but here!
We also curated an incredible 6-bottle set from Cabernet Franc specialists, worth $402:
(2) bottles of 2018 Relic ‘The Prior’ Cabernet Franc
(2) bottles of 2019 Smith Story Wine Cellars Cabernet Franc
(2) bottles 2019 Hendry Napa Valley Cabernet Franc
Relic sources fruit from Napa’s famed Stagecoach Vineyard, and their goal is to make the connection between Cabernet Franc and its offspring, Cabernet Sauvignon, through the aromatics and structure, while still letting the bright fruit and light body of Cab Franc shine.
We’ve long been fans of Smith Story (same as The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, the San Francisco Chronicle, and more), from husband and wife duo Alison and Eric Smith Story (and you can’t forget about their dog, Lord Sandwich). Our fandom has paid off; they give us a small allocation of their just-released, tiny-production Sonoma County Cab Franc. Only 160 cases of this dark-fruit-and-baking-spices red were made and we don’t blame you if you won’t want to share.
Speaking of the San Francisco Chronicle, the publication named Henry one of the Top 25 Wineries in 2021 and 2022. Cabernet Franc comes from two blocks in their estate vineyard, which were originally planted to be blended with Cabernet. The family liked how each variety stood on its own, though, and now produces limited releases of Cabernet Franc as a complement to their perennial Cab Sauv.
The good news: Cab Franc is back! The bad news: there are only about 600 bottles in this collection.
